Test Site Sweden, is a national resource for demonstrations and validation of research results. TSS complements the winter testing facilities with new test environments that focus on:

• Active safety
• Electric and hybrid vehicles
• Intelligent transport systems

TSS was started in 2006 with a goal to create a world unique demonstration and testing environment for products and services within ITS. Here, industry, academia and the authorities are offered new opportunities to collaborate.

Mission

TSS shall provide world leading demonstrations and test environments for new vehicle technology and infrastructure with the aim of supporting the development of sustainable transports

Tasks

• Common resource for demonstrations and field operational tests of new technology
• Pre-studies of new test facilities
• International and national cooperation

Research infrastructure

Research infrastructure for testing and verification is an important part in the innovation chain where the understanding of the problems can be obtained and new opportunities identified. Knowledge of the problems is a prerequisite for effective technology development with great innovation height. The availability of empirical data and test and measurement capabilities is a prerequisite for good vehicle research. TSS contributes to the building of research infrastructure that provides the prerequisites for the academy to carry out laboratory work.
