Project at a glance

This project will deploy two CHAdeMO fast charge stations (one manufactured by ABB and one by DBT) in the Gothenburg area and perform tests with EVs. The purpose is to establish a test environment that is open for organizations that has a need of testing EV fast charging.  

The project is funded by Region Västra Götaland through the InMotion program and by the project partners. 

Partners are:

• Göteborg Energi (charger installation)
• ABB (charger supplier)
• Turning Point (charger supplier)
• Test Site Sweden (project leader)

The project runs through 2011.

Current status

So far the project has selected the sites were the two CHAdeMO fast chargers will be installed. Focus has been on finding locations close to users of EVs that are compatible with the CHAdeMO standard (a total of 6 such EVs have been identified for the project). At the moment the project awaits the deliver of the fast chargers and the installation is planned to start during the summer.
